2. Bengal Cats are not hypoallergenic, it is a myth.

Bengal cat breeders often claim that Bengals are hypoallergenic, but this is not accurate. While Bengals may produce fewer allergens than many other cat breeds, it’s important to note that we cannot guarantee that individuals with allergies will not have a reaction to one of our kittens.

3. Bengal Cats are extremely smart. Sometimes too smart...

The Bengal breed is highly intelligent and learns quickly, making them easy to train, much like dogs. They can master commands such as sitting, standing, shaking hands, spinning, fetching, turning on/off light switches, human toilet trained, walking on a leash, and many more.

To keep Bengal cats engaged, you’ll need interactive and stimulating toys like balls, mice, and catchers. Bengals tend to get bored with toys quickly, so you’ll need to frequently update and rotate their toys to keep them entertained.

4. Bengal Cats are very talkative.

Bengals are among the most vocal cat breeds, and they love to communicate. The Bengal cats will certainly make their needs known, whether through soft, gentle meows or sharp, growling sounds. These vocalizations are their way of expressing affection or asking for something. When they’re upset or frightened, they may growl or howl. Their purring is also notably loud and can often be heard from another room.

New owners should be ready for spontaneous conversations with their Bengal, which may sometimes happen late at night.

5. The Bengal breed loves water.

Bengal cats have an unexpected love for water. While it’s rare to see a cat enjoying water, most Bengals are an exception. They love to play with it, and if you have an aquarium, you’ll need to be cautious, as Bengals, like their wild ancestors, are naturally drawn to fishing. Unlike typical cats, Bengals often dip their paws in water first, creating ripples before they begin drinking. Some Bengals even enjoy swimming, which is truly remarkable!
